Pear tart
An autumn favourite
PREPARATION
1. Preheat the oven to 170°C.
2. Peel the pears, remove the cores and cut them into slices. Sprinkle the pear slices with brown sugar and cinnamon and place them in a pan with the lemon juice and two tablespoons of water. Cook the pear slices for 5 minutes.
3. Grease the baking tin with butter or margarine. Make a crumbly dough using the icing sugar, flour, butter or margarine and two tablespoons of ice-cold water, then line the baking tin with the dough.
4. Arrange the cooked pear slices on the dough. Bake the pear tart in the centre of the oven for 50 minutes until cooked through.
5. Garnish the tart with whipped cream and chocolate curls.
