Eggnog

British Christmas punch

PREPARATION

1.  Separate the egg yolks from the whites and whisk the yolks with the sugar. Whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently mix both together, then stir in the cream and rum.

2.  Pour the drink into glasses and garnish with rum sweets.

INGREDIENTS
(serves 4)

2 eggs
100 g sugar
200 ml cream
100 ml rum
rum sweets

TIP!

Would you prefer not to use raw eggs because of the risk of salmonella contamination? Pasteurised egg whites and egg yolks are available at wholesale suppliers and larger supermarkets.
