This time, we take a look inside the remarkable home of Alida de Leeuw, also known as Lianne Styling & Living. As a stylist, she knows exactly how to bring atmosphere and character together in an interior. Her home, once a military barracks from the 1940s, breathes history and personality and has now been transformed into a stylish blend of industrial and country living. Tough materials such as steel and brick effortlessly combine with warm wooden accents and soft natural shades. Every detail has been carefully chosen, from vintage finds to handmade accessories. The result? A home that is not only beautiful to look at, but above all feels truly lived in and welcoming.

AUTHENTIC DETAILS WITH A MODERN TWIST
In the living room, the original wooden ceiling beams immediately catch the eye, adding warmth and character to the space. “I really wanted to preserve those authentic elements,” Alida explains.
Beneath the industrial pendant lights stands the Dazzle sofa by Rivièra Maison. “It’s incredibly comfortable, and thanks to its modular design it follows the lines of my living room perfectly. Functional and beautiful.”
ACCESSORIES WITH A STORY One of the true eye-catchers in her styling is a beautiful vase decorated with handmade flowers around the neck. “I love accessories that tell a story. This one simply had to be part of my interior.”
Because Alida works with many dark colours, she uses lighter accents to keep the overall look fresh. “A few lighter vases on the table can really make all the difference.”
A BALANCE BETWEEN TOUGH AND SOFT
To soften the industrial base, Alida deliberately chose a large high-pile rug. “It instantly creates warmth and softness.” The round dark-wood side tables introduce organic shapes into the space, subtly leaning the interior towards a more country-inspired style. “I love that balance: tough, yet soft and inviting.”
The kitchen is sleek and modern, with custom-made cabinetry and a stylish kitchen island. “That’s exactly why I combined it with the Carnaby chairs. Fluffy, swivel and incredibly comfortable. They add contrast to the space.”
AN OASIS OF CALM
Finally, we step into the master bedroom, where the country-style atmosphere truly takes over. The Dazzle bed forms the centrepiece of the room. “Did you know it belongs to the same collection as my sofa? The upholstered headboard adds such an elegant touch.” With layered bedding, linen cushions and a soft colour palette, this bedroom has become the ultimate place to completely unwind.
